Originally from El Salvador, Jaime Leiva founded United Futbol Academy with a deeply personal mission: to give kids the same opportunities the game gave him, and bigger ones. A former college soccer player and Des Moines community leader, Jaime has grown UFA into one of Iowa's largest and most respected youth soccer organizations, serving 700 plus families across competitive, recreational, and futsal programs. His vision for UFA goes beyond the field. It is about building leaders, strengthening families, and creating a place where every player belongs and has a real shot at something greater.
Elsa is the heartbeat of UFA's day-to-day operations. She manages all player registrations, payment processing, and parent communications — making sure every family has a smooth, supported experience from the moment they join UFA.
Ozzie leads UFA's coaching staff and soccer education programs, setting the standard for player development across all age groups. He also oversees college recruiting efforts, helping UFA players take their game to the next level, and plays a key role in building community connections and supporting the organization's fundraising efforts.
Carlos keeps the internal engine of UFA running efficiently. He manages administrative systems, staff accountability, and organizational processes — ensuring that every part of the operation runs with consistency and purpose.
