UFA Soccer Player Expectations and Code of Conduct
As a member of UFA Soccer, each player is expected to adhere to the following code of conduct, which reflects our core values of Passion, Dedication, Humility, and Work Ethic:
Passion: We encourage our players to approach the game of soccer with enthusiasm, determination, and a love for the sport.
Dedication: Players are expected to commit themselves wholeheartedly to their team, training sessions, and matches, striving for continuous improvement and excellence.
Humility: We value humility and respect towards teammates, opponents, coaches, referees, and spectators at all times, both on and off the field.
Work Ethic: Hard work and perseverance are essential attributes for success. Players are expected to demonstrate a strong work ethic in training, games, and all aspects of their soccer development.
Attendance Policy:
- If the group practices three times a week, players must attend a minimum of two practices to be eligible to play in matches.
- If there are two practices scheduled in a week, players must attend at least one.
- If there is one practice scheduled in a week, players must attend that practice.
- Players are only excused from attendance due to school, faith, or health reasons, and must provide proof to the coaching staff.
- Any player who misses 10 or more activities in a given season without valid reasons will be subject to expulsion from the club. Parents will remain liable for registration fees.
Academic Expectations:
- High school players are required to maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher. This academic standard is essential to ensure players’ eligibility for college soccer programs and to promote their future success both on and off the field.
Consequences of Non-Adherence:
Failure to adhere to the UFA Soccer Code of Conduct may result in potential suspension or expulsion from the club, as determined by the UFA Board of Directors. All violations will be reviewed by the board, and a final decision regarding disciplinary action will be made based on the severity of the offense and the individual circumstances involved.
