Founded in 2017, UFA has been driven by a mission to empower youth through lifelong skills and values instilled by the game of Futbol (soccer). Today, our club unites nearly 800 families from diverse backgrounds across the Des Moines Metropolitan area, creating one of the most diverse soccer communities in the state. We offer both competitive and recreational opportunities for boys and girls aged 4 to 19, with teams competing locally, regionally and nationally.As a year-round program, UFA also hosts a winter Futsal league, providing an indoor environment to further develop player skills. WHAT WE DO
Skill Development
Our primary objective is to equip every player with a strong technical foundation, recognizing that proper soccer technique is the cornerstone of individual success. By focusing on passing, receiving, shooting, and dribbling, we instill the essential skills needed for solid performance on the field. We also encourage players to develop and refine one-on-one techniques, fostering confidence and creativity in competitive play.
